Most tutoring is answer-narration: a student brings a question, the tutor performs the solution, everyone feels productive, and nothing transfers to the exam. Integral Minds is built on a different premise — that mathematical ability is a trainable system of decisions, and that the job of teaching is to make those decisions explicit.
Diagnosis before prescription
Every engagement starts by finding out precisely where marks are being lost: which topics, which question styles, which habits under time pressure. A student who mis-reads geometry under stress needs different training from one with a weak algebraic foundation — even if their grades look identical.
Problems first, theory second
Sessions are built around carefully chosen problems, sequenced by difficulty, drawn from a classified bank of past examination and competition questions. Theory is introduced at the moment it is needed to unlock a problem — which is when it actually sticks.
Why before how
Students are never given a method to copy. Every technique is derived from first principles, because a student who knows why a method works can adapt it when the examiner disguises the question — and that adaptation is exactly what separates A from A*, and what TMUA, MAT and STEP are designed to test.
Feedback that changes behaviour
Full exam-standard assessments are marked in depth, then turned into a one-to-one feedback session and a concrete independent study plan. Progress is tracked over time, so improvement is measured, not felt.
